Description
S.S Manhattan -Built at Fore River Shipyard in 1962 became the first commercial ship to pass the Northwest passage in 1969. Built as an ordinary tanker in 1962, she was refitted for the Northwest voyage with an icebreaker bow in 1968-1969. Registered as the largest U.S merchant vessel as well as the biggest ice breaker in history. T2717-29
